Year 6

We are Oak Class and Pine Class.

OAK CLASS

Oak Class is taught by Mr Dean and Mrs Davies (on Wednesdays).

Mr Dean's favourite animal is a tortoise. His favourite ice cream is Ben and Jerry's Dulce de Lish. His hobbies are watching sport, doing puzzles and constructing Lego!

Bloke in real life might vary from images!

He has been teaching for 15 years and his favourite thing about school is the lightbulb moments when children fully understand their learning.

Our support staff in Oak Class is Mrs Lee.

The best word to describe them as a team is determined

In Oak Class we really enjoy stories.  If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice to learn, love or laugh together you will find us involved with a game of Silent Ball!

Our class novel is currently Holes . We are reading this because it is a wonderful books and gives Mr Dean a chance to perfect his southern Texas accent!

The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is friendships

PINE CLASS

Pine Class is taught by Mrs Hill (Monday-Wednesday) and Mrs Stanley (Thursday and Friday).

Mrs Hill's favourite things are chocolate and penguins (not together!) and she enjoys trampolining, chilling out with family and friends, reading and eating the chocolate! Her favourite thing about school is that each day there's always something new to learn - for her as well as the children.

Mrs Stanley's favourite animal is a tiger because they are warm-hearted and courageous, her favourite food is pasta and her hobbies are spending time with family and friends, beach walks, going to the gym and reading. Her favourite thing about school is seeing children happy and thriving in the classroom.

Our amazing support staff are called Mrs Lee , Mrs Jessop, Mrs Allen and Mrs Pryke and they support us in some of our lessons and school life.

In Pine Class we enjoy celebrating each other's achievements.  If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice to learn, love or laugh together you will find us sharing some 'show and tell', practising our skills at silent ball or enjoying some time out in the fresh air.

Our class novel is currently The Guggenheim Mystery. We are reading this because we've read some adventure stories and we voted for a mystery story next.

The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is the loving and supportive school community we have. We all know how to have fun and support each other's wellbeing.
