Year 4

We are Maple Class and Hawthorn Class.

MAPLE CLASS

Maple Class is taught by Mrs Benko-Robbins.

Mrs Benko-Robbins favourite animal is an otter, her favourite chocolate is mint chocolate and her hobbies include horse-riding, performing on stage, climbing with Miss Fallesen and netball with Miss Thomas and Miss Colley.

In Maple Class, we are supported by the wonderfully talented Ms Clemas. Our class is covered by Mrs Oliver on a Monday afternoon. The best words to describe us as a team is enthustiastic and joyful

In Maple Class we really enjoy having deep and meaningful discussion, learning about different cultures and taking part in mindful activites.  If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice to learn, love or laugh together you will find us involved with body percussion routines and going on relaxing walks around the school grounds.

Our class novel is currently Grimwood by Nadia Shireen . We are reading this because Maple Class had a vote on which book they would like to read next and a 'funny, anarchic and gloriously silly' book sounded perfect.

The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is all the fun we get to have in Forest School; Music; English and Maths.

HAWTHORN CLASS

Hawthorn Class is taught by Miss Thomas.

Miss Thomas' favourite animal is a turtle, her favourite chocolates are malteasers. Her hobbies are taking her dog for walks, paddle boarding and playing netball with Mrs Benko-Robbins and Miss Colley.

Our support staff are called Mrs OliverMs Clemas, Mrs Hull and Mrs Byles. Our class is covered by Mrs Motton on a Monday afternoon. The best words to describe them as a team is approachable and resilient.

In Hawthorn Class we really enjoy R.E because we love to show our own world views and show our understanding of others beliefs.  If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice  to learn, love or laugh together you will find us involved with dancing to a Go Noodle, engrossed in a book outside or relaxing with mindfulness activities.

Our class novel is currently Kid Normal by Greg James . We are reading this because we were hooked after reading a chapter in Guided Reading.

The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is being a part of the outdoors in forest school, going on school trips together and experiencing a wide range of activities.
