Year 3
We are Hazel Class and Lilac Class.
Welcome to Year 3,
The teacher in Hazel Class is Miss Gover and the teaching assistant is Mrs Pryke.
Mr Dean teaches in Lilac Class and the teaching assistant is Mrs Motton.
We start the day with our Flashback 5 to get our brains ready for Maths.
This is followed by Maths and collective worship which takes us to break time. After the break, we have English followed by guided reading until lunch which is at 12:15.
During the afternoon, we start our afternoons with spelling before being busy learning various subjects ranging from science, RE, music, history, Geography, DT and Art to French, Computing and PSHE.

Climate and Weather |
Please ensure that your child has in school each day:
- A book bag or small bag
- A water bottle
- A coat for when it is cold or wet.
- Their banded reading book
- Fruit for Break time.
Homework
Homework is set weekly on a Wednesday and due in on a Monday.
Spellings- 8 words in total following a spelling rule (6 words) and Year 3 common exception words (2 words). The children need to bring their homework books with their sentences back to school on a Monday. Spellings are tested on a Wednesday.
TTRockstars - At least 15 minutes a week on Garage mode. This set on a Wednesday and closes on a Monday. This a crucial in improving your child's recall of their 2,5,10,3,4 and 8x tables in preparation for the Year 4 Statutory Multiplication Check. Please ask your class teacher if you are unsure of your log in or need support.
Reading - 3 times a week logged on Boom Reader.
PE
Our PE days are on Thursdays and Fridays.
Please can children come to school wearing their PE kits.
