Welcome to Sandford St Martin’s CE VA Primary School                

Welcome to our wonderful school!  My name is Emma Roberts, and I am proud to be the Headteacher of Sandford Primary School. It is a real privilege to lead such a welcoming and caring school at the heart of its community, set in a beautiful rural location at the foot of the Mendip Hills.

At Sandford Primary School, we are committed to creating a calm, purposeful and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. Our aim is for learning to be exciting and enjoyable, supported by a creative and ambitious curriculum that encourages curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. We have high expectations for all pupils and believe every child can achieve their very best with the right support and encouragement.

A strong sense of community sits at the heart of our school. We pride ourselves on the positive relationships between children, staff, families and governors, and we value the partnerships we build with parents and carers. By working closely together, we ensure that children feel supported both in school and at home, helping them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
