Acorns class is taught by Mrs Dowthwaite on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning and Mrs Pampin on a Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Mrs Dowthwaite

Mrs Dowthwaite loves all things to do with nature and animals! Her favourite animal is a sheep and, in Spring, she can often be spotted at a lambing or country fayre! She has four dogs - three beagles and a bocker puppy named Bailey Bailey Bailey - yes, he needs to hear his name three times before he does as he told! Mrs Dowthwaite says that teaching in Saplings is the most wonderful job in the world! There is nothing more exciting than helping children discover something they didn’t know before. Her hobbies are horseriding (a complete beginner!), travelling and swimming in the sea all year round.

Mrs Pampin

Mrs Pampin’s favourite author is Mick Inkpen, whose imaginative stories continue to inspire her love of children’s literature. She enjoys walking along the beach throughout both summer and winter, finding the coastline peaceful in every season. Her favourite colour is purple, and she particularly loves dancing and moving during Funky Fingers sessions making sure she flashes her purple trainers.
