One of our families are taking part in the 5K charity challenge walk for the National Autistic Society to mark World Autism Acceptance Day on Wednesday 2nd April.
The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people and their families and we have all come to school wearing blue today to support them, we will also be holding an assembly to mark the occasion.
As the ladies will be completing their 5K walk at school we are intending to have a couple of children from each class cheering them over the finishing line.
Every penny raised during World Autism Acceptance Month goes towards the National Autistic Society vision of creating a society that works for autistic people.

A Special Visit from Author Jenny McLachlan!
Last Wednesday, we were incredibly lucky to welcome the brilliant author Jenny McLachlan to our school!
Jenny, who writes the exciting Roar series (along with many other fantastic books), spent the day with us, sharing her journey as a writer and bringing her amazing characters to life.
Every class had the chance to spend time with Jenny, and she had us all hooked with her funny and inspiring stories about how she became an author. She even gave us a sneak peek into the world of her books, sparking plenty of ideas and imagination along the way!
It was a truly memorable day, and we hope it has inspired lots of our young readers and writers to dream big and create their own stories.
A huge thank you to Jenny McLachlan for visiting – we’ll be talking about this day for a long time!
