We believe that one of our most important roles is to prepare children to be confident and effective learners so that when they leave us they are equipped with the core skills and attributes that will enable them to reach and exceed their potential. Our classes are named after trees, and trees survive because they have established roots that anchor them firmly to the ground and soak up the nutrients and vitamins that feed and nurture the growth of the whole system. In the same way, we believe that with the right founding attributes, children can be well equipped to grow into successful adults and members of the community. We have identified six ‘Learning Roots’ that we believe provide the best basis for future success. We try and remind ourselves of this regularly and our learning regularly aspires to build strength in these core skills – please click on any of the buttons below to see examples of our Learning Roots in action.
Our school aims to work with its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. You can also read our full Ethos and Values statement below.
