It’s that time of year again and we were thrilled that Lytchett Brass Band were able to lead us once again for our annual ‘Carols Around the Tree’ event.
On a bitterly cold Tuesday evening, the crowd were welcomed into our school hall where the PTFA laid on crafts and hot drinks. We then braved the chilly climate and ventured outside to our huge and festive Christmas tree! It was great to see so many people singing together and it now feels that the countdown to Christmas has truly begun!

This kind of event can only be enjoyed with a lot of hard work and effort behind the scenes. Thank you very much to Andrew Painter, Lloyd Bartlett and their brass players from Lytchett Minster …. we all admired the way the students kept playing despite having frozen fingers! Thanks also to all the volunteers from the PTFA for organising the refreshments and children’s activities. A final thanks must also go to all those singers who wrapped up warm and joined us in our carolling!!

What a beautiful tree! Well done for organising such a lovely occasion at your busiest time of the year. Happy Christmas to all.
