Today in Saplings we came back to our classroom after morning assembly to find that we had a visitor… paw prints all over the room! We looked at their shape and size and we think it might have been a bear – Mr Sanderson’s honey sandwiches might have attracted it in!
In our learning activities today the children have been busy thinking about what items they might take on a bear hunt. The children had a lot of great ideas, ranging from a big net to a bear costume so we don’t frighten the bear when we find him.
The children then had the opportunity to try and write some of their ideas for which they used some of the phonemes that we have already learned – s, a, t, p, i, n and m.
We will keep our eyes open for any bears roaming around the school and will report back if we see any! ????
