The end of term has crept on us very quickly, but there is still time to reflect and share the amazing time had by all on the Phase 3 trip to Paultons Park.
It was a gloriously sunny day and the children gathered bright and early in the hall. The excitement built on the long bus journey and screams and cheers could be heard for miles around as we pulled up to the park.
We were greeted by the park’s educational team who took us on a guided tour around the park where the guide taught us all about the science and forces in action on a number of different rides. The talk was extremely interesting and the children’s learning was enhanced by being able to really feel and experience the forces in action.
After a whole morning of learning, the children had free choice to go on any of the other rides they wanted. Many of the children were encouraged by the morning of learning and overcame their fears by going on rides they were a little scared of, even Mrs Symons faced her fear and embraced ‘The Cobra’!
Overall a great day was had by children and adults, with fantastic enthusiasm for the learning and excellent behaviour by all, it was certainly a day to remember!
We must also say a big thank you to all the parent helpers, without whom the trip would not have been possible.
Here are a few photos from the day:
