On Monday, we received a visit from Hilary Millard. Hilary is the Headteacher of Amano Christian School in Zambia.

Hilary led an assembly and shared her experiences of living and working in Africa. She shared photos of the area she lives in, the animals and the school and children she works with. We were interested to learn that the mission statement for Amano School is ‘For the Lord gives wisdom…’ which links perfectly with our Collective Worship theme this half term!

We presented Hilary with a book containing photos of our school and examples of the children’s learning for her to share with her school.

Hilary enjoyed a full tour around our school and was able to see the fantastic learning happening here at Sandford. She loved seeing the children’s work and all the wonderful facilities we enjoy. We ended our time together by praying for Hilary and the children in her school.

We hope you have a safe journey back to Zambia Hilary!
