Just before Easter we enjoyed a visit from our Schools and Children’s Worker, Hilary Bond, who led an RE workshop with each class in school focusing on the Lord’s Prayer. We learned that this was a special prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to help them to talk to God and is still a prayer that Christians find helpful to use today. Hilary taught us the prayer and helped us to understand what the words mean and how we can relate them to our own lives. As we said the prayer together we linked each section to a different colour and symbol, we then created our own bead necklaces to help us remember the pattern of the prayer. Hilary reminded us that it is one pattern we can use to talk to God but it is not the only way! God loves it when we talk to him and will listen to whatever we want to share with him in prayer.
