Kicking off Summer Term 2020

Hi – we hope you have enjoyed a relaxing Easter holiday and managed to stay well? Thank you to all the key workers in our community who continued working/took on extra shifts to support us all in the battle against the Coronavirus. This appreciation includes many support staff of our school who offered holiday care for essential health care workers’ children.

‘School’ is back in session tomorrow – Monday 20th April – mainly via CLASSDOJO (but also at Sandford St Martin’s for key workers’ children who have absolutely no other childcare options). If your child is learning from home, why not kick off the new term in school uniform for their first session back at it? (just an idea)

ClassDojo will be updated mainly on Mondays and Thursdays, but some years groups also receive daily prompts for phonics, reading, maths or other areas. Parents and children will receive up-to-date curriculum links as an overview for this half term as well as a welcome back letter from their teachers. All of this will come to you by Wednesday afternoon at the latest. It is hard to offer ‘new’ learning but we do plan to try and give as much of the summer term content as we can – thank you so much for all you are doing for home education. If you have any questions or queries you can contact us through email, ‘phone, facebook messenger or ClassDojo. Best wishes for now.
