Phase 2 waited with excitement for the doors to open on Thursday afternoon and invited mums, dads, granddads, nannies, aunties, uncles and anyone else who wanted to come in and see some of the work that had been done during their topic ‘Nighttime Adventures’.
In the classrooms the children showed off their Nocturnal Animal Projects and their Textured Animal Pictures. The children had worked really hard on their projects and their knowledge of nocturnal animals was fantastic. They had to explain how they had decided to present their information and what the features of a non fiction book were. Some of their textured pictures were very realistic and certainly creative.
However, the main excitement was in the hall which had been turned into an art gallery with a night time treats cafe! Whist sampling some owl nests or batty biscuits, you were able to walk around the art gallery and admire some of abstract owl pictures that the children had created. You could also see what had really happened when the children had their ‘Nighttime Adventure’ at school on the slideshow! A very busy and fun afternoon was enjoyed by everyone!
